Welcome to the Financial Aid Toolkit
Brought to you by the U.S. Department of Education's office of Federal Student Aid (FSA), this site consolidates and organizes FSA resources into a searchable toolkit that can be used by organizations and individuals that interact with, support, or counsel FSA's target audiences.
Besides supporting the work of high school guidance counselors and college access professionals, the toolkit will help individuals who don't typically work in the federal student aid arena to assist individuals with financial aid. Such individuals could include staff or volunteers at community-based organizations such as the Boys and Girls Clubs.
We particularly recommend that you explore our Search Financial Aid Tools and Resources page, where you can filter resources by audience, topic, seasonality (time of year), and type of resource. Elements of the toolkit include the following:
- Outreach resources such as financial aid night materials, posters, fact sheets, videos, and PowerPoint presentations
- Social media resources such as sample tweets, Facebook posts, and blog posts
- Information on embedding videos and infographics in your website
- Sample articles for organization newsletters and sample e-mails
- FSA publications
The toolkit also offers professional development information such as training opportunities and resources for self-instruction.
